Peer Support Worker (Phone Support) – Casual WFH (SCHADS award 4.1)

Integrating with the NSW Towards Zero Suicides initiative, BEING is establishing two new committees: the Suicide Advocacy Co-design Committee and the Self-Harm Advocacy Co-design Committee to better understand Australians’ lived experience of suicidality and self-harm. Each committee will come together for 10 co-design online sessions.

To ensure a safe environment for participants, the role of Peer Support Worker (Phone Support) has been created to maintain a confidential, safe space for co-designers to debrief in a manner which models connectedness, and hope through shared experience, trust and mutual understanding, and may involve supporting people who are highly distressed to connect with appropriate supports.
