Members of BEING – Mental Health Consumers may now offer themselves up for election to the board of directors at the upcoming AGM taking place on Thursday, 6 November 2025.
There are 3 board positions up for election at this year’s AGM (with 3 current board members re-standing for election). If, at the AGM, the 3 current board members retain their seats, the board will then consist of 9 directors, the maximum number of directors that the Constitution permits. If this occurs, an election to consider the appointment of any new directors will not go ahead.
However, if one or more of the 3 current board members do not retain their seats, or if the composition of the board changes before the AGM, then one or more board seats will likely become vacant and an election to consider the appointment of new director/s will go ahead at the AGM.
As a skills-based board, we are particularly interested to hear from members who have experience in major donor management, membership management, and human resources to enhance the skills of the BEING board. However, not having these skills will not prevent an applicant from putting themselves forward for election.
Applicants are required to be nominated by two existing members of BEING – Mental Health Consumers.
