We are very excited to announce that the sixth annual Recovery in Art Exhibition will be held in the magnificent foyer of NSW Parliament House early in 2017.
Recovery in Art is a celebration of positive role that artistic expression plays in many people’s mental health recovery journey. The sixth annual Recovery in Art Exhibition will be opened by NSW Minister for Mental Health, The Hon. Pru Goward. We are excited about exposure the artists and their work will receive being publically exhibited in Parliament House. This will further increase appreciation and understanding of the lived experience of mental illness by Politicians, policy makers and the general public that frequent the foyers of this historic and important building.
We have already seen great interest from artists in NSW, and hope to work with these artists leading up to the 2017 event to make this the most collaborate exhibition yet.
So keep creating but please hold off sending your wonderful works to us just yet. Keep a look out for the first call for Expressions of Interest later this year. We look forward to seeing what creative works our artist’s display in the next exhibition in early 2017!
