Dear Alanna,
I am writing on behalf of BEING’s CEO, Dr Peri O’Shea
to submit BEING’s final report on the Champions for Change project. The report
details the key findings from our consultations with consumers regarding issues
and actions consumer champions would like to take to help bring about mental
health reform in NSW. The report also makes recommendations on actions the
Commission can take to support the consumer champions.
Thank you for the opportunity to undertake this
project. Going forward, we would like to discuss with the Commission on how to
make the project findings publicly available. We know the champions and our
network would be keen to learn of the outcomes of the project. We look forward
to having this discussion.
BEING would also welcome any opportunity to work with
the Commission to support the implementation (or realisation) of the
recommendations in the report.
