The Australian College of Mental Health Nurses has engaged Healthcare Management Advisors (HMA) to deliver a National Framework that can inform mental health content in pre-registration nursing programs. The National Framework can ensure that all nurse graduates commencing as practitioners from Australian Schools of Nursing and Midwifery have received appropriate education and training and developed competency in the nursing care of people with mental health issues, regardless of the clinical specialty they choose to work in.
You are invited to participate in this online survey about your experience as a consumer or carer/family member, and the mental health knowledge, skills and attitudes that you would like nurses to demonstrate.
All participants will begin the same survey, and will then be directed to questions specifically for either consumers and carers/family members. If you would like to answer as both a consumer and a carer/family member, you will be given that option.
The survey is open until Monday 28th May and takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. This survey is anonymous. Participation in the survey is voluntary and all questions are optional, you may withdraw from the survey at any time by exiting.
If you have any questions about this survey, please contact Sue Harrison at HMA on firstname.lastname@example.org or (03) 8415 0936.
