Business Development and Training Manager

1 year Fixed Term – Part-time (35 hours per week over 5 days)

This is an exciting and new opportunity to contribute to the work and voice of Being as the NSW advocate for people with mental health issues and emotional distress.

Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer, the Business Development and Training Manager will be instrumental in the growth of the organisation by planning and overseeing programs and projects including training programs, group programs, key committees, and human rights advocacy.

The Business Development and Training Manager will have strong self-motivation and people skills to promote services to our existing members and stakeholders, whilst seeking additional opportunities for funding and expansion of programs and business.

A key focus for the Business Development and Training Manager will be the completion of an Operations Plan and Stakeholder Engagement Plan, whilst developing new and innovative programs to ensure the organisation is progressing in line with the needs of people with lived/living experience of mental health issues and emotional distress in NSW

Training Officer

Part-time – 15 hours per week

Being is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Training Officer to join our dynamic team.

This newly created position will work closely with the direction of the Business Development and Training Manager, and other staff, and will be responsible for the successful design, development and delivery of training and community education programs for people with mental health issues and mental distress, and the mental health sector.

Policy & Communications Manager

1 year Fixed Term – Part-time (35 hours per week over 5 days)

This is an exciting and new opportunity to contribute to the work and voice of Being as the NSW advocate for people with mental health issues and emotional distress

Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer, and the Policy and Communications team, the position has a primary focus on ensuring the policy and advocacy directions are aligned with the views of people with lived/living experience of mental health issues and emotional distress in NSW, whilst ensuring our policy and research is aligned with the strategic goals of Being through the development, implementation and monitoring of the annual Consultation Plan and Communication Plan.

Policy Officer

1 year Fixed Term contract – Part-time (24 hours per week over 5 days)

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the work and voice of Being as the NSW advocate for people with mental health issues and emotional distress.

The Policy Officer position is a fundamental role to our organisation and the work we do, and will work closely with the Policy and Communications Manager, other staff and volunteers, and people with lived/living experience of mental health issues and emotional distress, to ensure the policy and advocacy direction of the organisation are aligned with the views and experience of people with lived/living experience.
