Project Coordinator – Co-located in Sydney and Wollongong

1 year Fixed Term – Full-time (38 hours per week over 5 days)

This exciting, new role will involve managing a portfolio of projects including developing Consumer Engagement Strategies, designing and facilitating community events, and supervising peer educators, volunteers and students.

The first of these projects will be to establish the Consumer Awareness Protection Project, working closely with the NSW Department of Fair Trading and other key organisations to provide support and education to people with mental health issues so they can gain a better understanding of the NDIS system. This will include increasing awareness of Australian Consumer Law and developing a suite of resources to support people to purchase services and enter into contracts and agreements.

Policy & Communications Manager

1 year Fixed Term – Part-time (35 hours per week over 5 days)

This is an exciting and new opportunity to contribute to the work and voice of Being as the NSW advocate for people with mental health issues and emotional distress

Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer, and the Policy and Communications team, the position has a primary focus on ensuring the policy and advocacy directions are aligned with the views of people with lived/living experience of mental health issues and emotional distress in NSW, whilst ensuring our policy and research is aligned with the strategic goals of Being through the development, implementation and monitoring of the annual Consultation Plan and Communication Plan.
