We are thrilled to announce that this September we will be launching our “There’s no place like home” Report!

In 2013 we ran several consultations with consumers across NSW about housing and what home means and the report is to bring these views together and provide recommendations for change.

It has been a long time in the making, but with the continued housing affordability crisis, now is an essential time for the release. The report will be launched with Recovery in Art at Parliament House in Sydney.   We have two areas we are looking for input in:

Calling all poets:
We are looking for poems to include both, in the home report and to be displayed at this year’s Recovery in Art Exhibition. The poems call be any word length and are to be about housing or home in a positive light.

Consumer stories:
Do you have a vision of what housing should look like? Or the role home can play in recovery? This might be housing you are already in or a vision for what would be ideal. We are looking to interview several consumers for our visions of home: how do we know when we have got there section of the home report.

For more information about either of the above or if you are interested in sending in a poem or being interviewed please contact Elena at elena.sutcliffe@being.org.au or phone 9332 0200.
