Recovery in Art 2017
Being is very proud to announce the Recovery in Art Exhibition will be taking place again in 2017.
Recovery in Art is a celebration of positive role that artistic expression plays in many people’s mental health recovery journey. The team at Being are working toward hosting the 2017 Exhibition at Parliament House, Sydney.
Expressions of interest are now open:
If you or someone you know would like to exhibit this year, please complete the expression of interest form here. We look forward to seeing what creative works will be displayed in the upcoming exhibition!
If you have any questions about the Recovery in Art Exhibition please contact:
Rachael Laidler at firstname.lastname@example.org or on 9332 0200.
Conditions of Entry
Entry is free and open to people with a lived experience of mental illness
We encourage you to include a brief summary of your journey of recovery through your art, which we will include in the catalogue.
Artwork must be ready to hang:
Each artwork that needs to be installed on the wall must have attachments to make it ready for hanging.
One artwork per person:
Due to the increasing number of artworks we receive and restricted gallery space, we have reluctantly limited entry to one artwork per artist. (note: this may be a diptych or triptych or small grouped collection) This will ensure that more artists can participate in the Recovery in Art Exhibition.
The taking and using of photographs of your artwork
Please be aware that during the exhibition, your artwork might have been photographed by media or members of the public.
BEING also takes photographs of all the artworks, and we will be using these images for promotional purposes (e.g. the exhibition catalogue, posters, web pages, newsletters, and so on). Whenever we use an image of your artwork, we will make sure we acknowledge you as the artist.
The expression of interest form can also be downloaded here.
