The Recovery Conference is an annual state-wide event run by Being. It is an opportunity for people with lived experience of mental illness to share skills and learn from consumer advocates and to create change in their community.

Participants at previous conferences also appreciate the opportunities for open discussion and to make connections with local service providers and other consumers.

The theme of this year’s conference is from House to Home. This theme explores the connection between home and wellbeing, and ways to advocate for communities that support wellbeing and healthy homes for mental health recovery.

This year’s conference will include a variety of presenters speaking about experiences of home, wellbeing and advocacy. Hands-on workshops will be facilitated by experienced advocates who will share tangible skills that attendees can use to address issues in their community. These presentations and workshops all aim to assist consumers to champion change in the local area.
