BEING is running the following public events as part of our fifth annual Recovery in Art Exhibition. We hope you are able to join us, and please help us spread the word!
BEING’s 5th Annual Recovery in Art exhibition on Thursday 8 – Friday 9 October (2pm), at The Muse, Ultimo TAFE (Cnr of Mary Ann and Harris St, Ultimo). The exhibition celebrates artists with a lived experience of mental illness. Click here to download the flyer!
PANIC – Free Music Show by Cosmo Gelzinnis on Thursday 8 October (12noon-1pm), also at The Muse, Ultimo TAFE. Cosmo Gelzinnis is 16 and is PANIC 2015-16’s Musical Director. PANIC is a Newcastle based youth music and performance group, which looks at the mental health issues young people experience or see in friends of family members around them. This performance will feature original compositions by Cosmos, which are based on his and other PANIC group members’ struggles and triumphs. Find out more here!
Being In The Know: Youth Mental Health Forum on Thursday 8 October (4,45pm – 6.15pm), at The Muse, Ultimo TAFE. This forum is aimed at TAFE and Uni students and is devoted to answering questions about mental health and staying well when students are stressing about studies. The forum is jointly held by BEING, Ultimo TAFE Student Counselling Service and Camperdown Headspace. More information here.
